Youth Basketball Program

The LYA runs 3 divisions of youth house league basketball and sponsors 6 travel teams who travel throughout Berkshire County.  The house league is divided into Biddy Ball (ages pre-K – grade 2), Girls league (grades 3-5 and grades 6-8), Boys league (grades 3-5 and grades 6-8).  The season is rather long with sign ups in October , practices beginning in November and games running from December through the end of February or beginning of March.  The cost is $40 per child.  Games for Biddy Ball are on Sundays with two days of clinics before the games begin.  The girls and boys leagues are held during the week with one practice at various times depending on the coach.

There are tryouts for the travel teams and those will be announces as each coach holds the tryouts at a different time and place.

Summer Basketball Camp

The Summer Basketball Camp runs for two weeks at the end of June and beginning of July.  It is for girls and boys entering grades 4-9.  The morning session for the boys runs from 9-12 and the afternoon session for the girls runs from 12:30 – 3:30.  The cost is $60 for one week and the program is run at the Lee High School gymnasium.  The exact dates will be out in May.

Adult and Young Adult Basketball

There are two different basketball programs for adults.  Since the times, dates and place may be different from year to year, please call the LYA at 243-5535 with questions.
